Those travelling to the Kurdistan Region are advised to contact their nearest Iraqi Embassy for information regarding the visa procedure.

The KRG Representations abroad do not issue Iraqi visas, but can advise travellers on requirements.

FLIGHT INFORMATION

At present regular scheduled flights operate to the Kurdistan Region by; Austrian Airlines, Lufthansa, Gulf Air, Royal Jordanian, Etihad, Middle East Airlines, Egypt Air, Qatar Airways, Cyrpus Airways, Air Berlin,  Fly Dubai and Iraqi Airways. 

Regular flights to the Kurdistan Region run from nine European cities; Vienna, Frankfurt, Munich, Dusseldorf, London, Manchester,  Stockholm, Gothenburg, Athens, Amsterdam and Copenhagen.

Charter flights to the Kurdistan Region are operated by Atlas Jet from Istanbul, Air Berlin, Air Sweden, Viking Airline and others. 

 

The Kurdistan Region's airports 
 

The Kurdistan Region has two international airports at Erbil and Suleimaniah. Most flights from Europe and the Middle East fly directly to Kurdistan, without going via Baghdad. Several IATA members scheduled carriers already fly to Erbil, and more IATA airlines are expected to start flights there. Several charter companies also operate flights to Erbil or Suleimaniah.
