Representative Shadala meets with David Perez Garcia and Óscar Romera Jiménez of the Community of Madrid and Genaro González Palacios of PromoMadrid.
The Kurdistan Regional Government representative to Spain, Daban Shadala, today held a meeting with officials of the Community of Madrid government, and PromoMadrid, the government’s company responsible for promoting and developing the Region of Madrid internationally.
Representative Shadala was hosted by Mr. David Perez Garcia the Assembly of Madrid spokesperson for the ruling Popular Party, Mr. Óscar Romera Jiménez the Chief of Cabinet of the Madrid Community, and Mr. Genero González Palacios, the CEO of PromoMadrid.
Representative Shadala updated the officials on the structure, nature and economic developments in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq and also discussed the positive security situation in Kurdistan as compared to the rest of Iraq.
For their part, Mr. Perez thanked Representative Shadala for initiating the meeting. He commented that the ruling Popular Party and the Community of Madrid government are open to strengthening relations with the Kurdistan Region, especially in the area of bilateral trade and investment.
The meeting was ended with Representative Shadala extending an invitation to the officials to attend the official opening of the Kurdistan Regional Government representation office in Spain.
