Barzani meets with French defense minister and mayor of Paris

Paris, France (Krp.org)- President Masoud Barzani held several meetings yesterday as part of his official France visit. The meetings included with Jean-Yves Le Drian the Minister of Defense where they spoke of the current and upcoming military operations against the terrorists of the Islamic State. The President and Minister Le Drian also made reference to the Mosul operation and how its commencement and eventual success will heavily weaken the terrorists’ morale in both Syria and Iraq.

President Barzani also met with Ms. Anne Hidalgo, the Mayor of Paris who had previously visited the city of Erbil and made reference to inviting the officials of the Kurdistan Region’s capital to Paris to discuss matters where Paris can be of assistance to the city of Erbil.

The President is scheduled to meet President Francois Hollande in Paris as part of his visit to France.
